The Dining Hall
The dining hall at Camp Willow Springs will be a place of nourishment for our campers. Year after year, our campers and guests express their love for the great camp food. We have been blessed to have a premier food service ministry at CWR and the dining hall at CWS will uphold the same tradition. Think pancakes, blueberry muffins, turkey sandwiches, tacos, fried chicken, and cookie mush! The camp favorites will be served as part of a balanced meal which will be carefully prepared three times a day for our campers.
The dining hall will have 9,467 heated square feet of space and includes a full commercial kitchen. This beautiful building will be centrally located on the CWS property and is designed to seat up to 300 campers/staff. The dining hall will cost approximately $1.2 million and will take about nine months to construct. In Phase One construction of CWS, this building will be used to serve meals to 120 campers in grades 3-6 while also taking on the dual role of being used as a meeting facility. By using the dining hall as a multi-purpose facility during Phase One, we are able to maximize the use of space and reduce our start-up expenses by constructing a large meeting room during a later phase.
In order to begin serving campers at CWS in 2013, it is vital that the construction of the dining hall begin by next summer. The building plans for the dining hall have been completed in anticipation of raising the necessary funds to begin soon. We ask for your support in helping to make the construction of this very important building a reality.
