03/05/21: Summer Camp Registration Update
Hello Camp Families,
We are excited for Summer Camp 2021! Registration for summer sessions will begin on Monday, March 15.
To help reduce the load on the registration system, we will once again spread out registration times as follows:
Camp Willow Springs for rising Grades 3-6 will register at 10am.
Camp Willow Run for rising Grades 10-12 will register at 12pm.
Camp Willow Run for rising Grades 7-9 will register at 2pm.

The health and safety of our campers, guests, and staff are of utmost importance to us. We have worked with our local health department to develop a plan for summer camp that complies with regulations from local, state, and federal authorities. 01/21/21: Summer Camp Registration Update
Hello Camp Families!
After careful consideration, we have delayed opening summer camp registration from February 1st to March 15th. Additional details about the registration process are available at campwillowsprings.org and campwillowrun.org. We will continue to monitor regulations in response to COVID-19 and plan appropriately for a safe experience for our campers, camper families, and staff.
We plan to offer a full summer of camp sessions. Delaying the start of registration will give us a better idea of the status of COVID-19, will allow us sufficient time to meet with our local health officials to review our plan for summer camp, and will hopefully allow us to better answer your questions about the summer ahead. We will continue to update our websites at campwillowsprings.org and campwillowrun.org as we have more information.
We are still considering decisions regarding the CWS Mother/Daughter Retreats and the CWR Father/Son Retreat this spring. Updates will be shared to our websites.

08/10/20: Retreat Update
Unfortunately, we have had to cancel our 2020 Father/Son Retreat. This is a special weekend that will be missed and we look forward to its return in the future.
Both Camp Willow Springs and Camp Willow Run will operate retreats for guest groups under the health and safety guidelines we developed with the local health department, state, and CDC. For more information about retreats, please contact our office at 252.586.0728 or info@campwillowsprings.org.

06/05/20: Summer Camp Update
Hello Camp Families,
Thank you for your patience as we have continued to gather information regarding the COVID-19 situation as it relates to summer camp at Camp Willow Springs & Camp Willow Run. We have consulted with our local health department and medical professionals regarding the health and safety guidelines from the local health department, state, and CDC.
After much prayer and thought, we have made the decision to open for summer camp beginning Sunday, June 28 with adjustments to our camp sessions and updated health and safety procedures. The health and safety of our campers, guests, and staff are of utmost importance and we will make adjustments as follows:
- We are decreasing our overall camp capacity for each session to allow for physical distancing. We plan to have a maximum of 84 campers per session at each camp. Each dorm wing/boxcar group will consist of up to 7 campers and 2 staff.
- All camp sessions will be 3-night camp sessions in order to comply with our plan with the local health department. The session for which you are currently enrolled will be split into two 3-night sessions with a Sunday late afternoon to Wednesday morning session and a Wednesday late afternoon to Saturday morning session. You will be given the option to select which session you prefer to attend in the week you are currently registered. The camp fee for the 3-night camp sessions will be $300. You will need to complete a new registration form but you will not need to pay an additional deposit. The new registration form will be available for CWS sessions at 10am on Wednesday, June 10 and for CWR sessions at 1pm on Wednesday, June 10. For those who have already paid the full camp fee, a refund for the difference in camp fee will be issued.
- Each dorm wing/boxcar group will be paired with another group with which they will spend the majority of their time together in the camp program. Interaction between camper groups will be limited to ensure physical distancing.
- A COVID-19 Waiver and Release of Legal liability form and a pre-camp Health Screening form will need to be signed and completed for each camper. These forms will be available in your camp account.
- A Summer Camp & COVID-19 guidelines and FAQ’s document will be available in your camp account.
- Unfortunately, we will need to cancel the camp sessions of June 21-26 (grades 3-6) at CWS and June 21-27 (grades 10-12) at CWR. The reason for the cancellation of these sessions is the time needed to prepare for the updated health and safety procedures and to have our summer staff quarantine before the first camp session. Full refunds will be processed.
- Unfortunately, we will also need to cancel the camp session of August 3-8 (grades 7-9) at CWR. The reason for the cancellation of this session is staffing as a result of the change in college start dates. Full refunds will be processed.
- If you would like to place your child on a waiting list for a camp session, please email us at info@campwillowsprings.org or info@campwillowrun.org.
- If you decide to cancel your camper’s registration, please contact us by email by Wednesday, June 10 and your cancellation with full refund will be processed.
- The final payment due date for summer camp is June 15.
Thank you again for your patience and understanding. This has been a long and involved process but one that we have seen as necessary to be able to ensure a safe and healthy camp experience. While this summer will look and feel different at times, there is still so much about the camp experience that will be the same. We look forward to a great summer and are excited about the opportunity to serve you!

05/15/20: Summer Camp Update
Hello Camp Families,
Thank you for your patience as we have continued to gather information regarding the COVID-19 situation as it relates to summer camp at Camp Willow Springs & Camp Willow Run. As a result of current guidance from the local health department, state, and CDC we have made the decision to cancel the June 7-12 & June 14-19 sessions at each camp. We are hopeful that we will be able to have our remaining camp sessions. Decisions on those sessions will be made in the coming weeks.
The health and safety of our campers, guests, and staff are of utmost importance to us. Over the next couple weeks, Governor Cooper will be giving updates on the 3-phase plan to reopen North Carolina. These updates should include further information on group size limits and guidelines for summer camps. This information is needed to make well-informed decisions. We will be sending an email and posting the next summer camp update to our websites no later than June 1.
When we are able to safely reopen camp, there will be an updated health screening process and increased cleaning procedures. We will notify you of these updated procedures and how they will impact your check-in experience as we get closer to the start of summer camp sessions.
The final payment due date for summer camp will now be extended from June 1 to June 15. In the event that we need to cancel any of the remaining sessions of summer camp, full refunds will be given. If you decide to cancel your camper’s registration, please contact us by email and your cancellation with full refund will be processed.

05/01/20: Summer Camp Update
Hello Camp Families,
We continue to closely monitor the COVID-19 situation as it relates to summer camp at Camp Willow Springs & Camp Willow Run. North Carolina is currently under a stay at home order through May 8. Our governor has given a 3-phase plan to reopen North Carolina and will be giving an update on the timeline of this plan within the next week. Included in the update will be possible guidelines for summer camps and further information on group size limits.
Thank you for your patience as we gather more information and seek to make well-informed decisions. While it is likely that we will need to cancel at least the first two weeks of summer camp, we have decided to delay this decision until we have further guidance from the local health department, state, and CDC. We will post the next update no later than May 15.
The health and safety of our campers, guests, and staff are of utmost importance to us. When we are able to safely reopen camp, there will be an updated health screening process and increased cleaning procedures. We will notify you of these updated procedures and how they will impact your check-in experience as we get closer to the start of summer camp sessions.

04/03/20: Summer Camp Update
We continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation as it relates to summer camp at Camp Willow Springs & Camp Willow Run. Our first summer sessions are 9-weeks away and at this time we are prayerful and hopeful that summer camp will be able to continue as planned.
The health and safety of our campers, guests, and staff are of utmost importance to us. We recognize that there may need to be adjustments to our summer camp schedule. As a result, the final payment due date for summer camp will be changed from May 1 to June 1.
Thank you for your patience as we monitor this situation. We will keep you updated and will post the next update no later than May 1.
In the event that we need to cancel any portion of summer camp, full refunds will be given. If you feel that you need to make the decision now to cancel your camper’s registration then please contact us by email and we will process your cancellation and full refund.

04/01/20: May 2020 Mother/Daughter Retreats Canceled
The Mother/Daughter Retreats for May 2020 have been canceled as a result of the COVID-19 situation and the recent stay at home orders from the Governors of NC & VA. We will greatly miss having each of you here!
The fees for this retreat will be fully refunded and we will begin processing the refunds on Monday, April 6.
